2005-04-11 4:26 PM No Fishays For Us Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Meh Read/Post Comments (3) Our original plans for yesterday (Sunday) were to head to the Long Beach aquarium with Carrie. Unfortunately, the dumb Long Beach Grand Prix was in town and therefore the aquarium was closed. I don't think the fishays were happy about being ignored by their adoring fans for three straight days. And it is best to never anger fishays. So, we shall try again this Sunday. Must. Worship. The. Fishays. *bows* So, yesterday Rob and I slept in and then made a run over to the Best Buy in Burbank (with our gift cards) to try and pick up an iPod. Wow, we should have remembered after getting our computer from there a few years back that that's not a good Best Buy to go to. There were employees milling about doing nothing, and not one asked if they could help us. Plus, the MP3 player section was a mess and you really couldn't find anything in it. We decided to leave and next Saturday we'll take our gift cards out to Montclair and buy it there. The store is clean and the staff is helpful at that store. We then headed across the way to The Olive Garden. That's when we realized being in that area on a Sunday was just a bad idea. The wait was an hour and fifteen minutes. Um... no. We got into the car and headed to the T.G.I. Friday's in Woodland Hills. Sure, it was a bit of a drive, but there was no wait and we were seated and eating dinner before we would have even been seated at The Olive Garden. Dinner was yummy and we headed home after. This week is going to suck. Today I'm doing laundry. Tuesday will be more laundry and waiting around for maintenance to come. When they do come, I get to herd the cats around the apartment. Maintenance is working on the bathrub and sink in our main bathroom, the shower and sink in the guest bathroom, the kitchen sink, the stove, and the balcony. Wednesday is more of the same - dealing with laundry, maintenance, and herding the cats. And Thursday I have a rather unappealing doctor appointment. Meh. It needs to be Friday. I don't want to deal with this week. ----------
