Yesterday Rob and I got up at 7:30am. We showered, got ready, and finished packing. My Mom, Nana, Rob, and I left the house around 9:45am. We stopped at Culver's on the way to the airport and I spent a good part of the drive sleeping.

We got to the airport around 12:45pm or so. We said our goodbyes to my Mom and Nana and headed into O'Hare. The woman at the entry way to check in was rather rude to us. We were entering the first class check in line and she said "this is first class only". We said we knew that. She frowned at us and said "FIRST CLASS". We nodded and said yes. She then said "YOU'RE in first class???". What a bitch. We just kind of ignored her and went into the line at that point. Check in was fast and easy, however the luggage checked there was rather backed up. We were a bit worried as to whether or not we would get our luggage when we arrived in LA since it was just left sitting in front of the check in area (since behind the check in counters were already full). Security was fairly easy as well. The First Class line was short, but they wanted to search our carry on bag because they thought we had something weird and "pipe like" in there. Turns out it was just my little elephant ring holder. LA didn't seem to have a problem with it when we were flying out, but then again they probably just think crack pipes are the norm for the city. After security at Chicago realized that it was just a ring holder, they let us go.

The airport was super hot. My Mom said the temp outside was 105 when they dropped us off. It had to have been in the mid 90's in the airport. Ugh. I had some cold drinks and did what I could to make sure I didn't overheat. I overheat very easily (even more so now that I'm preggers) and was told to be careful not to overheat because it could hurt the baby. We boarded the plane on time and it was a lot nicer temp wise in there.

The flight was a bit turbulent, but not bad. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat either of the foods they were serving in First Class. It was either salmon and shrimp (which I'm allergic to) or a salad (I can't digest lettuce and didn't want to be screaming in the bathroom on an airplane). I needed to eat something, so we bought a snack pack that they serve in their Economy sections. At least it was something to tide me over until dinner.

Our flight landed on time and our luggage did come in to LAX. The only really bad thing about the flight was that my ankles and feet swelled up something fierce. I could barely walk over to the baggage claim. They stayed that way for the rest of the night. Yuck.

Our limo came within a few minutes of calling and got us home pretty fast. Once at home we played with the cats, sorted through the mail, played with the cats, unpacked, and played with the cats. We then made a quick run out to Del to bring some dinner home. After dinner we played with the cats and then watched some TV in bed. I had an ice pack on my ankles for awhile, but it didn't seem to help much. They weren't down until I woke up this morning.

Today I'm back to the norm. Laundry and other not so fun things. I'm also super lonely. I'm used to be around Rob, my Mom, and my Nana. Now my Mom and Nana are 2000 miles away and Rob's at work. So I'm kind of in a depressed funk and lonely. This sucks.

Not enough to scare other people...

But sometimes you scare yourself.
