pregnancy

Yesterday Rob and I were going to see a movie after he got home from work, but I was just not feeling up to heading out anywhere. For most of the day, I felt like crap. I had a headache from the moment I woke up that slowly worked itself to migraine level by the time I went to bed (which was around 8pm). I was dizzy the entire day (still am a bit today) and had nausea from when I was in the shower until I went to bed. I don't know if I caught a small bug or if this is just pregnancy kicking my ass, but either way I just needed to stay in and rest. Today I'm feeling better.

So, Rob and I have been talking a lot about this and we're about 99% sure that once the baby is born (as long as one of us has a job lined up out there) that we'll be moving to the Milwaukee area. Why Milwaukee? Well, the houses are affordable, the school systems are good (and don't look like prisons like the ones in LA do), we can drive to my Mom or my Dad and it's only about an hour flight away from Rob's family. So, our baby would be able to see her grandparents a lot more. Rob sent me an e-mail today with the newspaper's headlines from LA and Milwaukee. In LA it was about a man who murdered his 11 year old niece. In Milwaukee it was about some kids who were in the hospital for eating some seeds in a park. Big difference there. We're both more than ready to go, but we can't move unless one of us has employment ready to go there. Here's hoping. I really think we'll have an overall better life there and will be able to give our child a much better life there. The only reason we can think of to stay here (our friends our here) is a selfish one. We need to start thinking of what will be best for our child and best for us as a family. It's scary, having a child really sobers you up and makes you realize that it's time to be an adult. Well, mostly.
