2006-03-10 3:33 PM Day Of Poo Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Frustrated and Tired Read/Post Comments (5) Today has been rough. Gabriel spent a good part of it crying. In the morning he had a hard poopy stuck to his butt and changing his diaper and cleaning him off seemed to calm him down. He also managed to have wet himself and his bassinet right before his 10am feeding. For awhile everything went normally. Normal poopy and pee diapers and feedings. After the 1pm feeding everything went downhill. After the 1pm feeding he got the hiccups. That caused him to spit up on me and cry. Once we got the hiccups to stop he started to fall asleep and then woke up wailing. As I was about to pick him up I heard some unholy noises coming from his diaper so I took him to the changing table. His diaper was filled with diarrhea, he was wailing at the top of his lungs, and he was hot and sweaty. I cleaned him up and put a new diaper on him and the noises and smells kept on coming. For about a half hour he was wailing and making sick noises and filling diaper after diaper with baby diarrhea. When he calmed down and the diarrhea stopped I tried to take his temperature with a super quick ear thermometer we had bought. That's when I found out that the thermometer was worthless. I took his temp a few times in both ears and had readings ranging from 96.5 to 99.9. Looks like we need to pick up a new thermometer this weekend. We also are in desperate need of our diapers. Everywhere we've checked is sold out of them. Hopefully we'll last through until tomorrow when we might have time for a Babies R Us run. I say might because when Rob called the pediatrician about Gabriel's diarrhea he mentioned we should stop by tomorrow. So, tomorrow we have to try and get to Babies R Us, the drug store for my presciptions, the post office to mail out vital papers to our tax attorney, and possibly take the baby in to the pediatrician as well. *sigh* I seriously haven't had a moment to myself or any relaxation time since my Mom left. To top it all off I started getting a migraine last night before bed and it's just gotten worse since. I didn't have the time to eat anything all day until around 2:30pm and when I did eat the migraine started making me nauseous. I feel like I'm about to fall flat on my face and pass out. I think I might attempt a much needed nap when Rob gets home from work. And even though the baby provided more than enough poo for the day, one of the cats decided to scoot shit on our carpet. Thank God the weekend starts tomorrow. ----------
