2006-07-17 12:04 PM Living On The Sun Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: HOT Read/Post Comments (0) It's been hotter than hell out here recently. The other day it got up to 115. I'm pretty sure I'm either living on the surface of the sun, or in the middle of Hell. From looking out my window, I'd guess it was Hell. Friday night I needed to get my car out and I needed to make a Lane Bryant run. Convienient that. So, the three of us headed out to the mall in Sherman Oaks. Yet another one of my lounge around the house outfits needed to be tossed (same age as the other pair and ripped open in the same spot... I hope this doesn't keep happening) and so it was time for a new one. I found some cute lounge pants, but they didn't have any tops to go with them. I got the pants and hoped I'd find something to match on top later in the weekend. After Lane Bryant we headed to the food court for dinner (Steak and Potato Company). I've been having a bit of a meat craving lately. Who knows, maybe my post-pregnancy GD meat aversion is coming to an end. That's pretty much all I could eat with the GD so for awhile it's the last thing I wanted to touch. After dinner Rob made a stop in Border's Express and picked up the new D&D book (Monster Manual 4). From there we headed back home. Saturday we spent the day in the house. Our air conditioning had a hard time handling the heat so it was warm in here, but still better than the unbearable heat outside. We finally headed out around 5pm. It was only 110 then. *sigh* We headed inland and made a stop at the Lane Bryant in La Verne and they had tank tops that worked well with the lounge pants I got the night before. Sweet. After the store I made a stop at the ATM and then we headed to Golden China for a dinner made up entirely of Chinese appetizers. It just sounded good. We then went to the Lollicup out on Ontario for some boba and headed back to our neck of the woods. Made a pit stop at The Game Zone and grabbed their last boxes of War of the Dragon Queen minis before heading home for the night. On Sunday we decided to be lazy and stay in. It was too hot to even think about venturing outside. Hell, Saturday night it was 98 at 9pm. We didn't even want to think about heading out into the bright sunny hotter than hell outdoors. Staying in was nice. We ordered in food, played with Gabriel, and gamed a bit. Having a day to rest and do nothing is always a good thing in my book. Today is insane. Gabriel's screaming non-stop and the living room is filled with laundry I need to get done. There's no way it's all getting done today. I have eight loads of our clothing, the sheets, the towels, and the baby stuff to do. That's going to have to be spread out over the week. It's currently 12:15pm and I have the first load in the dryer and the second load in the washer. Our dryer takes forever to dry things so my day is going to be full of non-stop laundry and a screaming baby. Joy. ----------
