Gen X Survey

Here are some questions for the people who are a little more mature...

1. What bill do you hate paying the most? I don't like paying any bills, but the worst one right now is our COBRA bill. We're paying $1200 a month to keep our family insured (under a Good Sam plan... since we're not near there we have a HUGE deductible). Because of the deductible, we have yet to get any doctor payments back. However, we need this because if I have a lapse in insurance I would be uninsurable with my health problems. We're getting scared though because it doesn't last forever and will run out around the end of the year. Hopefully, one of us will have a job with benefits by then.

2. Where's the best place to eat a romantic dinner? La Fondue in Sherman Oaks, California. God I miss that place.

3. Last time you puked? A few months back at my Mom's place. In her kitchen sink. Ew.

4. When is the last time you got drunk and danced on bar? I never have.

5. Name of your first grade teacher? I don't remember.

6. What do you really want to be doing right now? Getting a professional massage and then curling up and going to sleep for about 12 hours.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up? An actress, a veteranarian, and an astronaut.

8. How many colleges did you attend? Two. My undergrad school was USC and my major was Cinema-Television (filmic writing). I also went to law school at Pepperdine Law.

9. Why are you wearing the shirt you have on now? It was in my closet and I grabbed it.

10. GAS PRICES! First thought? Highway robbery.

11. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you...? I love where I am now and those that I'm living with. So I'd stay here with my hubby and son.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning? You have got to be fucking kidding me. I just fell asleep. Maybe I can sleep a bit longer and just work later tonight.

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night? I really hope this Unisom works. (It didn't.)

15. Favorite style of underwear for the opposite sex? Boxer briefs.

16. What errand/chore do you DISLIKE? Anything involving poop. Cleaning the litterbox, poopy baby diapers, etc.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer at an art gallery? I'd consider doing volunteer work, but it wouldn't be at an art gallery.

18. Get up early or sleep in? I would much prefer to sleep in.

19. Who is your favorite cartoon character? Todd from The Fox and the Hound.

20. Favorite NON-sexual thing to do at night with a girl/guy? Get a massage or cuddle.

21. A secret that you wouldn't mind everyone knowing? If I have a secret, it's because I don't want people to know about it, and I'm sure as hell not going to post something like that here. If there's something I don't mind people knowing, then I wouldn't keep it secret.

22. How many joints pop when you get out of bed in the morning? Lots. Ankles, knees, hips, back, neck, etc. I'm only in my 30's and I already feel creaky and old. Physically, I feel like I'm in my 70's or so. It sucks.

23. What is the biggest amount of $$ you have made from a yard sale? None. I've never had a garage sale.

24. Your favorite lunchmeat? Tuna.

25. What do you get every time you go into a 7-11? Back in LA it would have been a Slurpee. But I have yet to see a single 7-11 out here, so out here I don't go to them.

26. Beach or lake? Why not both? Out here we have beaches on the lake. But if I had to choose... lake.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual? Not at all.

28. Who do you stalk on MySpace? I don't use MySpace.

29. Favorite guilty pleasure? Svengoolie. It's so cheesy and the movies are usually so bad, but I love it.

30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out you have? If I didn't want anyone to find out about it, why would I post it here? However, I don't have any that I wouldn't want anyone to find out about. The weirdest ones I have are the live action version of La Blue Girl and Urotsukidoji. If you don't know what they are that's probably for the best.

31. What's your drink? Milk.

32. Cowboys or Indians? Indians.

33. Cops or Robbers? Cops.

34. Do you cheer for the bad guy? Always.

35. What Hollywood star do you think resembles you best? I was once told that I looked like Christina Applegate, but that was 15 years and about 125 pounds ago. I don't think that's too fitting now. Though now I don't think anyone in Hollywood looks much like me.

36. If you had to pick one, which cast member of "Lost" would you be? I have no idea, I've never seen that show.

37. What do you want when you are sick? To sleep, to get better, and chicken matzo ball soup.

38. Who from high school would you like to run into? Hopefully soon Vanessa and I will be getting together. I'd also love to see Dawn (who I e-mail with on occasion) and Becky Figel (who I haven't spoken with since high school). Oh, and Lynn Baber (she was one of my teachers).

40. What do you like to do on your days off? Sleep in, relax, maybe head to the mall, etc.

41.Who's your favorite Grey's Anatomy character? I don't have one because I've never watched that show.

42. Norm or Cliff? *blink* Who are they?

43. The Cosby Show or the Simpsons? The Simpsons.

44. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back? Nothing comes to mind. I don't really regret any of my previous relationships and now I'm with the one I'm supposed to be with.

45. Do you like the person who sits directly across from you at work? Well, my work now consists of bar review. And there is no one sitting across from me.

46. If you could get away with it, whom would you kill? In wouldn't want to kill anyone. And even if I did why would I want to post that here?

47. What famous person would you like to have dinner with, alive or dead? Screw the whole famous thing. Right now I'd just love to have dinner with my Nana and talk and everything. Just have this whole thing with her in the hospital be a bad dream. I'd like to head out to my Mom's place, have everything be all right, and have all of us go to a nice dinner at The House of China like we have before.

49. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose? Nope, but I've never used it for an unintended purpose either.

50. Last book you read for real? My bar review books. Ugh.

51. Do you have a teddy bear? I have many. I currently cuddle up with a patchwork Frankenteddy bear when I sleep.

52. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth? I don't think I've ever brushed my teeth anywhere strange. Just in the bathroom at the sink.

53. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go? Lisa and Nick's place. Oh, and that aquarium near them!

54. Number of texts in a day? Usually none. Sometimes a few.

55. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or relationship? A new career. Hopefully that will happen soon after I pass (if I pass) the state bar.

56. Do you go to church? No.

57. Pencil or pen? Depends on what I need it for. Usually a pen.

58. Bueller??? Bueller??? Bueller??? My Mom was an extra in that movie!

59. How many jobs have you had? I was a teaching assistant for a directing class and for a screenwriting class in college, I worked in the story department of Paramount in college as well, I tried my hand at writing screenplays for a few years, I do some clerking at my Dad's office, I also do some computer tech help for my Dad's office, and I'm Gabriel's Mommy. So... 7?
