2007-10-06 10:39 PM Feeling Blah Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Meh Read/Post Comments (0) I felt like ass today. Just generally blah and exhausted. I woke up in the middle of last night shaking and I wasn't even cold. How could I be considering that the temps around here are in the high 80's and low 90's? I wasn't feeling up to doing much of anything. So, we spent most of the day in and only went out for a food run. Tonight we watched Hercules (the Disney version) because we found it in the box of old VHS tapes and Rob had never seen it before. He liked it and Gabriel seemed to like it for the most part as well. When the movie was over with I bathed the Poopchuck. Apparently my screaming like a whacko who is afraid of Gabriel is the funniest thing in the world to him. I'll do anything to make that little guy laugh. Oh, we recently had to duct tape our dishwasher closed. He loves playing in it and it's not safe for him to play in there. We just couldn't keep him from being drawn to it and now it's duct taped shut. Gabriel is not happy about this and constantly drags one of us into the kitchen, points at the tape, and rubs his eyes as if he's crying. Good lord does this kid know how to guilt trip us. Yeesh. We're holding strong even in the face of absolute cuteness and the duct tape is still there. ----------
My score on The Metaphysician Test: The Taoist The Way is flux. The Way is order. The Way is Chaos. And if you do it right, the Way is you. You have a good balance of the material and phenomenological realms in your personal experiences, and see reality as a holistic set of interlocking systems, constantly changing, constantly supporting or resting on one another. The Tao (and the Buddhist sect it inspired, Zen) isn't about getting on with it, it's about realizing there's no it to get on with. Thinkers you may agree with: Lao-tzu (duh) Thinkers that may challenge you: One is all. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
