My Mom came over around 5pmish on Tuesday. Rob grabbed some fish for dinner on the way home from work. We nommed and watched Big Brother. Gabriel was super happy to see my Mom and so was I. I'm always happier when she's around and Gabe can't get enough of his Nana.

Yesterday morning my Mom stayed at home to watch Gabriel while I took Sydney in for his vet check up. The good: he seems fairly healthy for a 13 year old cat and his vitals and heart are all great. His thyroid hasn't gone up anymore, so it might just be normal for him to have an active thyroid. The so-so: his kidney bloodwork was a bit elevated (high normal). Being that kidney failure is the number one cause of death in Abyssinians, it's something to watch and check again at his next check up (in 6 months). Also, he's a bit underweight and could stand to gain a pound or so. I'm still going to free-feed his dry California Naturals food, but I'm also adding some Wellness wet food daily as well. The bad: another tooth is rotting and causing him pain and needs to be removed. It's one of his fangs, so when it's removed his tongue will be lolling out of the side of his mouth. His other fang has a problem starting and I need to make the decision of whether to remove it now (which will cost less than another removal down the road and will also save him another surgery, which at his age can be dangerous) as a preventative measure or to leave it in because it's not yet bothering him with the knowledge that it might need to be removed down the road.

After the vet appointment Sydney was happy to be back home. My Mom and Gabriel came along with me for my afternoon car appointment. It needed the one month service. We all waited in the waiting room (it took a little over an hour) and Gabriel was a spaz as usual. When the appointment was done, we made a run to Ulta to get my Mom some Water Wax and then stopped at the pet food store to get Sydney some wet food.

From there we went to the Virginia to visit my Nana. We spent some time with her and Gabriel did some coloring and also decided that some of the decorations in the front lobby were "balls". After the visit we headed back to the apartment.

When Rob got home from work we decided to get Indian food for dinner and he made a run out to get the foodage while my Mom and I stayed home with Gabe. Food was yummy and we watched So You Think You Can Dance. This means I missed Big Brother and have no idea who was voted out.

My Mom spent the morning around the house with Gabriel and I and she headed out soon after lunch. She's going to spend some time with my Nana and then head back to her place.

Tonight there are some errands I need to get done when Rob gets home from work. I need to head to the bank to deposit some checks and I need to mail off bills and rent at the post office.

73% Affectionate, 45% Excitable, 44% Hungry

Protector of truth.
Slayer of darkness.
Loooooong.
Longcat may seem like just a regular lengthy cat, but he is, in fact, looong. For proof, observe the longpic.
It is prophesized that Longcat and his archnemesis Tacgnol will battle for supremacy on Caturday. The outcome will change the face of the world, and indeed the very fabric of lolcatdom, forever.

Which Lolcat Are You?
