Just A Few Hours Away...

It's just a few more hours before my Nana goes into surgery and before I head down to Chicago. While I'd like to be here for her surgery, I haven't seen my Dad in over a year and I'll take any opportunity I can get to see him. Besides, the hotel (and a very expensive one at that) is already booked for us.

So, today is the day my Nana gets her infected toe removed. Yeowch. My Mom is coming into town today to be here for her and she'll be crashing at our place and looking after our cat tonight. Hopefully, all will go well with the surgery. They're doing a local anesthetic and I'm very happy about that. You do not do general on someone of her age. So, if you could send some good vibes her way today, I'd really appreciate it.

When Rob gets home from work tonight we're going to pack and head down to Chicago. We'll probably get in around 10pm or so, order in room service for dinner, and then pass out. Tomorrow we'll be spending the day with my Dad and Cheryl and we'll be coming home on Sunday. Should be fun and I'm really excited to see my Dad again. He only lives a few hours away, but it's so damn hard to get plans with him.

I won't be online again until either Sunday night or Monday morning, so if you don't hear from me until then, you know why.
