So, the good news is that my eye is much better. The swelling is completely gone and so is the odd jelly-like mucus that was over the eye (which, by the way, was clear). I can see just fine out of the eye, though it still hurts. I guess that makes sense with as bad as it was (and considering I was poking around trying to get the mucus out). It's still a little numb around the eye and the eyeball is still somewhat painful, but it's getting a lot better. However, it doesn't like light and hurts if the light is too bright. Still, it is much better and that's something I can be happy about.

Why is it that when one thing gets better something else gets worse?

Yesterday in the afternoon, my throat started hurting. By the time Rob got home from work, it was very painful and I couldn't talk. Last night it kept getting worse and worse and I could barely sleep because every time I swallowed in my sleep I'd wake up in horrible pain. Now, it hurts horribly, I can't talk, and there's this weird mucus coating in my upper throat which makes it very hard to breathe. I also am having a difficult time swallowing and was in tears when I tried to take my pills in the morning.

So, the eye is better, but my throat is in severe pain. Great. *sigh*

I don't know what's worse - the pain and trouble swallowing or the weird mucus that's there and is making it hard to breathe.

Anyway, today I'm doing another all day seminar for my Wisconsin MCLEs. It's a divorce law seminar. I have an interest in family law and if I had a choice, it's one of the areas I'd love to practice in. So, at least this seminar is interesting.
