Hooray For Mom

Mom ended up arriving at the apartment around 10am yesterday. She had trouble sleeping the night before, so she got up and left her place around 7am. I have no idea how she was functional all day long. I'm *so* glad she got here when she did - the damn internet crashed on me during my first seminar. I called Rob (who thankfully was at his desk) and he talked us through re-booting the modems. I did what was needed on the laptop and my Mom ran up into the loft and listened to Rob's instructions on re-booting the modems. It took awhile, but we got things back up and running. Hopefully, my brief absence when my internet connection died won't be counted against me.

My day yesterday was spent doing two GAL seminars. Basic and intermediate (today is advanced and starts in a minute or so). Mom being here made so much difference. She played with Gabriel while I did my seminars. Hopefully, after today if all my credits get approved, I'll be done with my MCLE's for Wisconsin. Then I'll need to get 25 hours done for California. Ugh.

Rob brought Taco Bell home for dinner and we watched Survivor (which for some odd reason Gabriel really likes) and the finale of Hell's Kitchen. It was a boy's year, so I kind of knew that Danny was going to win. Next year, it will be a girl.

As I said before, today I'm doing my advanced GAL training seminar. Mom is here and doing Gabriel duties while I get my seminar done. Tonight she offered to babysit Gabriel so that Rob and I can go out to dinner tonight. We have 6:30pm reservations at the fondue restaurant. My Mom rocks.
