The GAL seminars were boring, yet informative. Unfortunately, it seems that in order to become a GAL I would need to be working at a law firm and practicing family law. Easier said than done. Family law is the area I really want to practice in, however, at this point a job is a job. I can't afford to be picky when I don't qualify to apply for a damn thing on any of the job boards I frequent.

Mom came out here on Thursday and left on Saturday. She watched Gabriel while I did my seminars. Thank you Mom!

On Friday night she babysat some more and let Rob and I head out to dinner. We went to fondue at The Melting Pot. Mmmmm, fondue. My favorite food and favorite restaurant.

Saturday, Mom hung around in the morning and took off around noon to head over and see my Nana before she went back home. It was then time for us to get our weekend errands done.

We grabbed lunch at Taco Bell, made a run to Toys R Us, and then a run to Fresh Market. We stopped off at home to drop stuff off and then headed back out. We went to the Asian market, grabbed a bratwurst as a snack from some local high school kids who were trying to fund a trip to Germany, picked up some light bulbs for our closet, and then did our big weekly shop at Pick N Save.

After putting the groceries away, we headed back out yet again. We stopped at The Wine Cellar where I got a bottle of nice champagne and a bottle of Jordan Cabernet and then picked up a pizza for dinner from Edwardo's Natural Pizza. They have *real* Chicago style pizza, the kind with the sauce on top. It was fantastic, though I still want Gino's.

We also grabbed a plain hamburger from McDonald's to bring home for Sydney as a birthday treat. He turned 14 on Saturday.

Saturday night we watched our Netflix rental of "Decoys 2".

Sunday we headed out to the Kohl's in Delafield to grab two sippy cups for Gabriel (to bring to my Mom's place the next time we visit) and for Rob to get some more work slacks. We then drove out to the outlet mall in Johnson Creek.

While there, Gabriel got to ride the noo-noo and a fire truck. I bought two lounge around the house outfits at the Lane Bryant outlet. I also got two pairs of Mary Jane Crocs at the Crocs outlet. One is dark purple and the other is mango orange. I showed great restraint by not even going into the Coach outlet store that just opened up there. I will at some point, but I didn't yesterday.

We grabbed some Famous Dave's barbecue for dinner. Their ribs are amazing. We also gamed and watched the season finale of Survivor. I was rooting for Taj, so I wasn't too happy with the outcome.

Today it's back to my normal routine. Rob's at work, I'm at home with Gabriel, and I'm washing up our sheets.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
