Crazy Hot and RepoBaby

Mood:
HOT

It's hot out here. Crazy insane over 100 hot with high humidity. The kind of hot where having air conditioning makes little to no difference because it just can't keep up with the heat. I blame the skylights and being on the second floor. We have two sides of our apartment on the outside and the roof as well. Yesterday, I had the air conditioning set to 68 and it couldn't bring the temp in here below the high 70's. Even at night when we went to bed it was at 74 in here. I am so over summer and ready for the fall.

I don't ever remember the summers being this hot as a kid. I lived in Chicago and came up to this area to visit my grandmothers on a regular basis. There was one, maybe two days in the 90's - never anything in the 100's. Summers were usually in the 70's and 80's. Global warming has really fucked things up in a very short amount of time.

Gabriel's new favorite movie is "Repo! The Genetic Opera". It's a fantastic movie and is one of my current favorites as well, but it's odd that a three year old would like it so much. He can even sing most of the songs. I nearly died laughing last night when he was dancing around the house singing "Mark It Up". As much as I like that movie (and prefer watching it by leaps and bounds to his other favorites like "Elmo in Grouchland" and "CinderElmo"), watching it at least once a day will get tiring after awhile.

Oh, and he wants to be the RepoMan for Halloween. Somehow, I don't think they're going to be selling RepoMan costumes in a 3T.

You Are Bitter
You aren't bitter at the world, even though you have a strong personality.
Instead, you are sophisticated and cultured. You appreciate acquired tastes.

You are very powerful. You have the ability to change a room's energy.
While some may find you disagreeable, your points of view are intelligent and interesting.
