Weekend Wrap-Up

So-So

This weekend was fairly uneventful, like most weekends are. My weekdays are spent watching Gabriel, doing the laundry and other around the house chores, job hunting, etc. My weekends are spent doing the out of the house errands that we don't have the time to do during the week. Life is boring and as much as I love spending this time with Gabriel, I want a job.

So, Saturday was our day of errands. We grabbed lunch at Taco Bell, but I didn't end up eating much because I had a horrible migraine that was making me nauseous. So, for our first runs out, I stayed in the car trying not to vomit or pass out. Rob made a run into Walgreens, Babies R Us, the pet shop, and we did the drug store drive through to pick up my BC pills. By the time we headed back home, the headache was almost gone.

I had a (good) surprise at the pharmacy. My insurance won't cover my birth control pills, so I have to pay full price for them. Normally, this is around $75/month. This time it was around $85 (I thought that the price had gone up again), but they gave me three packs. We asked what was up with this and due to some new law, when the insurance company won't cover BC pills, you now get three months of pills for the normal price. So, that was $85/3 months. Not bad. It's always nice to have a good surprise when at the pharmacy!

We dropped everything off at home and then headed out to the grocery store. Had some problems there. While we were shopping, Gabriel said he needed to poop. So, while I did the shopping Rob took him to the bathroom. He sat for awhile and said he didn't have to go. Just as he had his pants pulled back up, he went. Diarrhea in his pants! So, Rob worked on cleaning him up while I did the shopping.

We came home, put the groceries away, and then headed to Fresh Market to pick up steaks to cook for dinner. We cooked our steaks and watched our Netflix DVD of 1408. That was a surprisingly good movie. Creepy and brilliant. I highly recommend it. You really can't ever go wrong with a John Cusack movie (or a Samuel L. Jackson one for that matter).

Sunday we grabbed lunch at Burger King and then tried to figure out what to do. We had been toying with the idea of visiting my Nana, but decided not to for two reasons. The main reason was because Gabriel seems to have some sort of an intestional bug and we don't want to bring that into a nursing home. The other reason was that something my Uncle Kim had said to my Mom about Gabriel not being welcome there rubbed me the wrong way and we really felt uncomfortable (and not wanted) in going there.

So, we drove around a bit and looked at houses for sale that we can never hope to afford (in really snazzy areas) and then took Gabriel for some ice cream. We got take out from Buca di Beppo for dinner and brought it home. That night we did some gaming and watched The Celebrity Apprentice. Right now, I'm rooting for Bret Michaels on the men's team and Sharon Osbourne on the woman's team.

Last night Gabriel managed to shove a jellybean up his nose. Yes, he's truly a boy. Luckily, we were able to get it out just fine on our own. Hopefully, he'll learn his lesson with this and it won't happen again.

Not much new is going on today. Just back to the same old weekday routine.

You're an incredibly talented person, and you have so much going for you. Your life is full of movement, and it's one of the reasons why you've never settled into a house. You know you'll always be a mover and a shaker, but you're happy not having the roots that others do. You don't want to be tied down, when you know life is so limitless.
