Ugh, Bugs

I hate summer. I hate the hot weather (it's been in the 90's a whole lot here... and humid) and I hate thunderstorms and the tornadoes that come along with them. I also hate the bugs. As far as the weather goes, it's odd. We usually have one or two summer days in the 90's, not weeks at a time. Yes, global warming is real people.

Anyway, the bugs are the worst part of summer. Sure, even in the winter we'll find a spider here or a silverfish there, but in the summer the weird bugs start to appear.

Like the GIANT spider that was waiting for us over my side of the bed when we came back from my Mom's house. Or the two earwigs we found in our bathroom. Or the two centipedes we found (one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom). Or the pile of around thirty pill bugs Rob found downstairs by the front door. Gah. I can't take it. I hate bugs!!!! It really doesn't help that Gabriel loves bugs.

We moved into the apartment back in early 2007. Ever since then, we've asked several managers to properly weather strip our front door. None have done so and it can't be done during the day in the summer or we'll get wasps in here as well. They never properly weather stripped the door and there's now a gap below it. We've had whole worms crawl under there, I'm sure that's where the pill bugs came in, though why they piled up is beyond me. Either way, this is all too creepy.

I also don't think our windows are sealed up tight enough to keep bugs out either. Ew.

So yeah, I hate the summer and can't wait for fall. The temps will go down, there will be less tornadoes, and less bugs! I hate bugs.

The Bleeding Heart

Warm. Sensitive. You are the "Bleeding Heart," and you deserve congratulations. When mercy is needed, you'll be there. You probably answered yes to that question about being the first to notice when someone's upset -- and you pride yourself on that. Don't get too proud, though; often your kind is rejected by others for being "not quite fun enough." The problem of course is that most good humor isn't very nice -- this is something you realize and struggle with.
