On my birthday we made our last visit to my Mom's Galena place. While I'm stoked that she'll be moving out to our neck of the woods, there is some sadness in knowing that I'll never be in that house again. I liked it - needless to say, she does not.

We had my birthday dinner at the Log Cabin. It was super yummy.

We spent the days there sorting through things and helping her get ready for the move. At night, we headed to local restaurants for dinner. Somehow, I got the mayorship of her Piggly Wiggly and House of China when we were out there on Foursquare and Rob got the mayorship of her dump.

I was able to take my original captive bead hoop earring out for the first time, but found out that I always need something in it (a small stud works fine) because if I even go a few hours the hole starts to close up again.

I got two new tattoos while out there. They're bats (a vampire bat and a fruit bat) done in the traditional swallow style (on the front of my shoulders) but with more new school colors. They came out amazing. Pics to come on facebook, though Gary tagged me in some so you should be able to see how they looked right after they were freshly inked.

A great time was had out there and next week mom closes on her condo out here.
