2006-11-12 10:49 PM Love that Killer Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (3) I just found out today that Dexter has been renewed for a sophomore season. Yay! I love this show. It is one of my favs. Although *totally* different, it ranks right up there with Weeds for entertaining shows. (and I'm realizing why I can't cancel my Showtime subscription.)
For those of you who haven't seen Dexter, I'll attempt to explain. I think it's best if you experience it for yourself, of course, because I have a feeling that it just isn't going to translate well. You see, he works in homicide - he's actually a forensics expert - for the Miami police department. Which, in itself is interesting (hey, you're talking to someone who has been a Quincy addict since she was 7 years old) but that isn't the best part. The best part is that he moonlights as a serial killer. heh. Yeah. Weren't expecting that, were you? He's awesome. His specialty is blood splatter - so during the day he tries to catch killers. And at night he disposes of them...although generally not the same ones that he caught. He kills the people who are hideous criminals and need to die. Like other serial killers. You know? Of course you don't. Like I said....it doesn't translate well here. I highly recommend this show. But I recommend that you start at the beginning. Don't just jump into the season now. They're playing reruns throughout the season (I've even seen a Dexter marathon advertised on some upcoming Saturday) so you can catch it from the beginning. Because, of course, knowing *why* he does this is half the fun.
