The State of the Union I'm referrring to naturally is Actors Equity. It makes you realize as a non-equity actor really what little rights you have. This was the first Equity / Non-Equity call I've been on in a long time. I usually get the audition slot ahead of time. Anyway, back to last night's audition and please excuse me acting like a six year old while saying, "I WAS FIRST IN LINE"! Then this guy waltz in as the auditions begin...not sign up...not prep to sign up...the audition and you guessed it, he becomes first in line. It sure must be nice to be in a union. Okay so maybe I sounded more like a two year old. Some people think it's charming. :)
