2006-01-24 12:14 PM five weird habits a couple of these were born out of 25 years of living with crohn's disease...
1. the ashtray and coaster on the table by which i always sit has to be in a particular place. if it's moved, even a little, i adjust it back. when i worked in a factory, i had an mental mark on the line, and if i wasn't done with my job by that mark, i'd freak out and get frustrated. seemingly two different things, but really kind of the same. by the same token, i get a little upset when someone else puts the dishes away and it's not in the spot i designated for it, and each ashtray i own has a particular spot, if they're moved, i get upset. 2. my couch cushions slip and it drives me batty. i fix the cushions everytime i pass by. (that's kind of like the first one, eh?) 3. so many times i've been stuck in a bathroom without toilet tissue, so everytime i go to someone's house, or even out to the bar, i always pack tissue in my back pocket so i'll never be caught without. 4. i can't rest in a new restaurant, bar, or store until i know where the bathroom is. i get nervous and fidgety until i locate it and locating the bathroom is always the first thing i do. 5. i compulsively check my email everyday. especially if i've written someone and i'm waiting for a reply or i've submitted something and even though the guidelines say one to two months, i still check several times a day(just in case). i have no one to tag, cuz you've all done it already.
