2006-01-25 9:54 AM I'm feeling (Carolina) blue i knew things weren't going to go as we hoped when i saw steve smith come out and sit calmly on the sidelines and saw that julius peppers was smiling like a cheshire cat. usually smith is hyped up and peppers is cool, calm and collected without expression. as always happens with jake, the ragin cagin, he wasn't on his game. it seems that every fifth or sixth game, he sucks. one might think it's because they were on the road, and the road was a long way from nc. while goings has had games of his life before, we shouldn't have pinned all our hopes on him. why didn't we practice and train his back-up? why did we ditch steven davis completely?
foster needs to go. we drafted him three years ago. he missed the first year, due to injury and out of the three years we've had him, he's only played maybe a season and a half(and that's being generous). up until that one game several games back, he's never really had a stellar game. a few die hard fans were there at 5 am when the team returned. *** our big local story this week is a sad one. last friday, a senior vice president of wacovia bank called the police at noon, from his half a million dollar home, and informed them he'd stabbed (and killed) his twin 5 year old girls. friends, family and neighbors all profess that he was the kindest man they'd ever met. apparently, he'd been suffering from depression for years and was taking prozac. within the last few weeks, his doctors had also started him on a medication to help him sleep. by all accounts, the attack on his daughters was out of character. anti-depressants will once again be on trial.
