2008-06-19 10:02 PM argh, i don't know why after my rant on the storysouth thing, i realized i do have a little burning passion for writing. look, i realize it's a who you know thing on the net...at least with the majority of publications...but i think there might actually be some out there that don't particularly know this...lol
tonight, i look at one of my flashfiction newsletters(in which many markets are now accepting over the usual 1000 word flash fiction definition) and there is a "call" for 1st person fiction and one for 1st person non-fiction. i have two such wonderful pieces in mind. i think when i wrote them both the internet thing was in it's infancy. creative non-fiction was non-existent...(sad too, because i specifically took a classes on this kind of writing, being a history buff and all, and always finding the truth was indeed stranger than fiction) so i think i've found two places to place my babies at. and upon looking further, the good folks at the storyboard have given me some wise words in the rewriting (ok, view from life is done, seriously, no more rewriting on that, it stands on its own, what is, is...i love that piece and make no apologies for it because i lived it) but the other, i think i can tweak per their suggestions. it may be the only thing of worth i write in my life, but they are the two stories that mean the most to me, so if it is, it is... shit! i'm missing kathy griffen...bored now, leaving...(that redheaded bitch makes me LAUGH...i so love a redhead) ;-) Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
