Today's class was all about us. We looked at where we came from, took an even closer look at where we're going, refined out plans, and graduated. I feel like I got exactly what I was expecting out of the class, and feel more confident about moving forward to accomplish my goal of getting read this year. Plan to action -- now I need to start making phone calls!

As I went through the class, I made note of little gems of wisdom to keep in mind, and for me to go back to once in a while and remind myself about:

• Most people stop themselves from succeeding;
  
• Be me;
  
• When writing a spec, look for the paradigm of the show, and then try to turn that on its ear;
  
• When pitching, relay what you feel with specificity;
  
• The world demands courage of us;
  
• Assuage their fear (when in a meeting with execs);
  
• Try not to put the power of the callback into someone else's hands;
  
• Never let a lead get cold;
  
• Approach the cold call as an opportunity to make a personal connection with the person on the other end;
  
• I am in charge of my own career.
