2005-08-24 11:39 AM The Least LGBT Friendly Universities in America... Princeton Review is out with it's lists again.
According to student polls, the ten schools that demonstrated the lowest acceptance of the LGBT community are: Hampden-Sydney College, Hampden-Sydney, Va. (Prebyterian, men only); University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind. (Catholic); Baylor University, Waco, Texas (Baptist); Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill. (Interdenominational Christian); Grove City College, Grove City, Pa. (Nonsectarian Christian); University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Knoxville, Tenn.; Texas A & M University-College Station; College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Mass. (Catholic, Jesuit); Samford University, Birmingham, Ala. (Baptist); and Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah (Mormon). Anyone see the common denominator in all but two of these schools? God. Hmmmm. Is it a surprise to anyone that my alma mater and my younger sibling's alma mater are both on here? I guess we Presbyterians better get on the ball...the Baptists are kicking our buts in the academic bigotry department. Read/Post Comments (8) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
