Words simply cannot describe the sadness as the death toll rises. This is beyond imagining. Prayers go out to families, friends and students.

According the the Associated Press, the first statement out of the White House included this following the President expressing his sadness and prayers for the families..."The president believes that there is a right for people to bear arms, but that all laws must be followed," spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

Why did that have to be included? Why start defending the right to bear arms in the middle of this tragedy? (shaking head)
