Ondine She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She can take the dark out of the nighttime And paint the daytime black. --Bob Dylan 2004-08-15 11:01 AM What is God? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) |
I get a lot of ideas for my writing in the morning, when I am slowly waking up. I set my clock forty minutes early and hit the snoozer 4 times before the actual moment of awakening, because I love that inbetween place. Curled into my husband's big sleepy body, my mind wanders in and out of the ether from where ideas come. I had a big one, this morning. The uber bad guy of my novel became clear to me and with that knowledge a large part of the story arc--and I am now very hopeful I can end the book in Zion, Utah. I told my daughter about it and said it was a god. But she didn't like the word God--said it was cheesy and unoriginal. She's a good judge of stuff like that, so I am going to have to think up another word for malevolent creative super being. I'll check my celtic dictionary. |
