Ondine She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She can take the dark out of the nighttime And paint the daytime black. --Bob Dylan 2005-10-25 7:47 AM Happy Birthday Angela Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) |
Nineteen years ago, today, Angela Elizabeth Moore decided she could not wait to be borne. Two months early, she pushed her little four pound peanut body from my womb and greeted the world. She was so pretty, rose colored and dimpled, with a shock of dark brown hair sticking straight up. I could hold her head in my hand and her feet barely reached the curve of my elbow. I told her then, whispering with her tiny ear to my lips, what ever happened, where ever she went, what ever she did, I would love her forever and take care of her. She is the light of my life, my best friend, the sweetest of people. She is strong, fierce, funny. Brilliant. How did I get this girl? What did I do right in a past life to have a daughter like Angela? Well, whatever it was, I am the luckiest of mothers. Happy Birthday, little girl. I love you. |
