I took Joe to a new medicine doc, recommended by Dr. Mik. The new doctor, Dr. Gerner said Joe's meds are on the right track but we can be more agressive. He also said he believed a lot of Joe's lingering depression was due to his horrible sleep schedule. Joe will stay up for a day and a half then sleep two. Dr. G said it's imperative he gets 8 hours a night sleep and then stays awake during the day. He started him on sleeping pills and wham! Joe got better! He's waking up every morning and eating a healthy breakfast, talking to me, and he gets his shoes on and goes to school--no drama. He's alert, happy--was singing last night! He's been able to express himself better and he's making a friend at the new school!! I am feeling very hopeful. |
