Quirky drama Feature film 1997 I'm not exactly sure why we Flixed A Life Less Ordinary, but I'm glad we did. It's definitely a quirky piece that has many moments of amusement in it, not to mention good actors. Briefly, it's about a janitor who was replaced by a robot. When he confronts the owner of the company, he ends up kidnapping the owner's daughter. Mixed in with this, is a pair of angels, who must make said janitor and daughter fall in love, or they can't get back to heaven. The janitor (Ewan McGregor) discovers he enjoys the whole kidnapping bit much less than the spoiled rich girl (Cameron Diaz). The two angels stray very far from angelic in order to make this match happen. The film has a bit of everything in it. It's got highbrow wit, slapstick comedy, action, tension, romance, and I'll forgive it the occasional logic lapse because it amused me overall. It's not a perfect film by any means, but it's a good, relaxing movie, good to fill a rainy day (or a long train ride). Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
