Drama/horror Television series 2004 I'm a fan of Stephen King's work, primarily because of the characters he brings to life. Not only can I really relate to them, but for the most part, his heroes don't whine. (Or if they start out whining, they find an inner strength they didn't realize they had.) They take their punches, and get up swinging. So, I've already approached Kingdom Hospital with a positive attitude, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I love the fact that the actors, for the most part, aren't Hollywood Pretty. There's enough intrigue to hook me in, the good guys are gonna have to fight a tough battle, the bad guys are ready for 'em and the guys in the "chaotic neutral" corner could easily go to either good or bad, and affect everything else by their choices. Definitely worth TiVo-ing. The only thing that disappoints me is that Stephen King wrote all 13 episodes himself. I hope this might go to series -- it would be fun to try and write for it. Oh, and I love it when they have this much fun with the show. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
