I finally plugged down the dough for the new Shenanchie’s Kitchen site at Tripod, so now the ads have disappeared. Keeping my fingers crossed, the new pages should be set up as planned the first of July. Ridding myself of the seemingly endless recipes from the old site to re-construct the new made the transition much easier; having to focus on Ireland and the British Isles will also be a pleasurable change.

 

Hopefully not too many people will be disappointed by the new site, but the changes could not be helped. As I’ve said before the original Shenanchie’s Kitchen started out as a small venture into Gael foods before the recipe explosion took over four years later, and one consolation I can offer is that I elected top retain the “special” pages for canines, diabetic, and vegans; along with recipes for herbs/spices and the “tea treats” page. The cooking tips will also remain in place.

 

I’ve also started putting together the summer edition of the newsletter “Food Notes,” which should be released a few days after the site debuts. When the time comes, I will place subscription information at Shenanchie’s Kitchen for those interested in receiving the seasonal newsletter.

 

Just a reminder that Food Fare will close the first of July as well; and Savorys by Shenanchie will be taken down the beginning of August, whereupon all food articles will no longer be available.
