Greek Inquiries

A few days ago a teacher located in Texas wrote to me, asking if there was a way she could see my article about Greek food and culture. As some of you may know, I took all of the food articles down last month. I was hoping to offer them in some sort of electronic format next year, but I couldn’t ignore the present request for “Greece.”

I loved your Greek section of your previous site. Is there anyway to get a copy or is it archived somewhere? I will do just about anything to see it again. I can’t tell you how many teacher friends of mine in the US [United States] have looked into and loved your site. I would love to be able to be able to get the info, just let me know the link. The recipes, history and all were so helpful and I appreciate this so much!

I uploaded the article to a temporary page, and left it there for one day so the teacher could print it off. Apparently, she used to teach at Cedar Hills High School in Texas but wanted to use the material for her Girl Scout troop:

I am done, thank you so much, I just copied it all. You are great! Now I have moved to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University and pursue my Bio-Chemistry degree, and possible go to medical school, though the latter may be too tough with a husband and two children under 7. The Girl Scout troop is #2725, and I will be using this info again for an international day! Can I purchase your books here in States?  Since I love what you have done thus far, your books have to be great too! Thank you!

It is so nice to be appreciated – to have others like what you’ve written – and it also gives me a boost of motivation to get the articles out in digital format. Hopefully I can swing it for St. Patrick’s Day 2005 – that would be a nice and lengthy project to complete.
