Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." - Harriet Van Horne

I can enter into love a lot easier than I can enter into cooking. But I do know what this quote is saying because I have experienced the ecstasy of cooking. It is fun. It does lift my spirits. And, in essence, cooking is sympathetic magick.

I found this lovely site while responding to e-mail. It is called Mossy's Place. It is filled with all kinds of recipes, information on different veggies and how to prepare them. As you will note, I grabbed today's quote from Mossy's site. Have fun reading and cooking.

Sunshine this morning, I don't know how long we will have it but it is a nice change. I found my miniature rose bush in standing water. I immediately dumped out what I could. I hope there is enough time for the roots to dry out before the next onslaught of rain. Here is a photo of my pot of orange pansies my next door neighbor, Mr. T, gifted me. They seem to be doing quite well in their new home.

Although in this photo, the flowers look more yellow gold than orange in color.

I can't say I feel much better than yesterday. However, all that napping did not help as I stayed up until 3:48 a.m. One I was awake and two, since I am wireless, I brought my L-top into the living room and read some e-mail and responded to same, surfed the 'Net, and played computer games. All of this kept me quite awake. I did sleep in until 10 a.m. though which is good for me.

I had all sorts of ideas for writing today. I wish I had written them down because now nothing is coming to mind. Well I guess it is time to quit and call it a day.
