I asked what was motivating them and learned they had decided they wanted to buy a Wii. I thought about it for a bit and decided to use this as an opportunity to help them gain some practical experience in their ability to manifest. I pointed out to them that instead of searching for ways the two of them could earn $350 so they could buy a Wii to consider that they could simply manifest the Wii instead. Meanwhile I decided I would give them a Wii for Christmas i.e. I’d be the route the Universe would use to fulfill their manifestation. So well into November I’m thinking all is chill - I’ll just buy a Wii after I wrap up my Christmas list during Thanksgiving and that’s it. Those plans went awry when I read an article noting that Wiis were in limited supply but high demand for the second Christmas in a row. I checked eBay and sure enough Wiis were going for $500 plus. At this point I’m thinking “Well, nice idea but maybe it’s not going to happen this year” until sometime in early December some events occur which get me remembering the power of my ability to manifest and a renewed enthusiasm for doing so. I decide to manifest (at MSRP!) the Wii I wanted to give the children. About a week later I’m in Fry’s and notice a line of people by a counter. I ask what’s up and am told that they have a limited supply of Wiis that had been advertised and this was the line to get them. I’m told to keep an eye on their thrice weekly ads for the next time they get a shipment in. As far as I can tell that was the last time they had Wii consoles available - for the rest of the year what they were selling were Wiis bundled with accessories. Part of what I like about manifesting is discovering how the Universe brings whatever it is I’m manifesting to me. Around mid-December I’m really starting to wonder how I’m going to obtain a Wii since the retailers seem to have gotten smart and are doing like Fry’s and bundling their consoles w/accessories. I then see a short blurb in the Business section one day announcing that for a 2-day period the following week GameStop would be selling Wiis and providing Rain Checks which would guarantee delivery by January 25th, 2008. I buy one of these wrap the little box the rain check came in and thought I was done with it. I figured the kidlets might prefer to see an actual Wii under the tree instead of a rain check but I figured they’d rather see the promise of a Wii in 25 days over no Wii at all. So Christmas was on a Tuesday and the children were going to stay with me beginning Thursday. Wednesday morning I get a call from GameStop telling me to come pick up my Wii. I do so, wrap it and substitute it for the wrapped rain check. Kidlets come over Thursday discover the Wii and all is good. I had to laugh with the Universe - in teaching my children how to manifest I reminded myself. :-) My friend JJR told me that if she had decided to get a Wii for her kidlets that she would have taken the Type A path - show up @ Best Buy or wherever @ 4am, pay the eBay premium, etc. She felt that instead by choosing to manifest I had taken the Type B path - visualizing the outcome I wanted to experience and then just allowing it to happen if it was meant to happen. Next up: Manifesting a house to live in. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
