Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Gardens and Italian food

The garden is slowly taking shape. We've got nine or ten stalks of corn coming up. We planted tomato seedlings yesterday, cherry, big boy, and roma. The zucchini are getting big, and the sunflowers are doing well.

On the other side of the garden, the roses are glorious right now. It's a bit hot today, and the winds right now aren't helping one bit, but I cut a huge bunch this morning and they're gracing the dining room table with their fragrance and beauty.

Yesterday I did myself grievious bodily harm by taking a pick-ax to the ground. Needed to clear down about three inches, and in a three-foot square, so I can lay bricks under the swing of the garden gate. To stablize the gate, really, so it won't get caught on the weeds and such. Laid six bricks - have a couple more to go. Ugh.

My arms are SO tired now, I can't begin to tell you! But it's a good start to my weight lifting habit. Which means the gym tomorrow. I've decided since I am not overwhelming myself with writing these days, I'll get back into the swing of exercising regularly. This will come in handy for the rest of my life, I'm sure. I just need a different focus than home, daytime TV, and this dratted computer in this dratted messy office.

Which reminds me, I think I'll clean it up today.

Italian food. I made gnocchi last night that was damn close to professional. I made a parmasean-garlic cream sauce that was even better than professional. Hubby's making foccacia again today, and we've been doing a lot of pizza baking since we've bought our own pizza stones. We're aiming for that thin, Roman pizza crust that crunches as you bite into it. It's almost a crispy flour tortilla, almost that thin. We're close to getting the right recipe, but haven't hit it spot on yet.

Italian food. Yummmmm.
