Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Broccoli Forest and Sand Castle Knees

We went to Rincon Parkway again today, the boys and I, for three and a half wonderful sunny, sandy, wave-y hours. To get there, we pass a lot of agriculture fields, growing a bit of everything - hot peppers, parsley, green onions, and the Broccoli Forest. As you drive by, it looks like a tiny forest in a world gone mad. Youngest son wants to get out in the middle of the field and play with army men (snort).

Instead of writing down the plethora of ideas I had regarding my new story, I spent a good two hours making a sand castle. Spent so much time on my knees, that I've got two oblong red spots on each one - and they hurt. Can't tell if they're sunburned, or just tender from being ground into sand for all that time.

But the sand castle was beautiful, and an older couple told me it looked like "Lower Earth - you know, like in Lord of the Rings". They were so nice - they've been to the beach every time we've gone. I think they must live near by and come every day, at about the same time. The best part of the sand castle, though, was leaving it standing proudly as the tide continued to go out. I have no doubt that at this point it's gone completely.

It was wonderful to see Jenn today, after her Korea sojourn. There was too much to talk about and not enough time, as always. And she's off again to World Con soon - sigh. It's always something, I suppose.

And now it's dinner. My tummy's rumbling, and there are boys to be fed as well.
