So yesterday I spent time going over what I wrote during NaNoWriMo - and it doesn't suck! So I'm pleased. I need to complete the book, but I'm really, overall, very pleased.

Now to get some of that energy into the other one I'm writing, and all will be well. Spent time this afternoon doing that - hubby and I went to Coffee Bean and wrote today, so that's a great start to the New Year.

I fear, though, that I won't be getting a positive response to my submissions from Nationals this year - I haven't heard back yet, and when the buzz is good usually you know pretty quick. Bummer, but moving on. I'll hear when I hear. Hopefully sooner than later, and hopefully some of it will be good...

This year I draw nearer to 50. I rejoined a gym - my knees are a big problem right now, and they wouldn't be if I weren't on my feet 8 hours a day. So need to strengthen the thigh muscles, front and back, with weights in order to support the knees more. We'll see how it goes - that and orthotics. So far, not seeing any improvement, but the orthopedic doc said that's what I should do so I will. Haven't been able to go to Kung fu, though, hurts too much. Hopefully I'll be on the road to recovery soon and can go back. And the xrays are all negative, they look fine on the inside. Don't totally know why the swelling occurs, and that's what's causing the pain, but I'll give it a couple months before going back to the doc.
