2010-10-29 6:29 AM A second try? Well we will see if the Yarn tasting will happen tonight, I hope it does. Haven't spoken to hubby yet, but I want to try to set up a crochet meeting a the yarn store if the owner is open to it. I liked the feel of the place the last time I went.
Last night was quiet, but DH did make a comment that he "needed his wife's strong support." My response (in pain) was that I needed his support first to help me, then I could support him. It worked. Then he told me that the reason he was so argumentative was that I had told him previously to let him know when my attitude changed. I told him that it was funny that it only changed when I was sick. So I was now telling him not to tell me any more, but to understand that if my attitude changed, ask me if I was in pain. Chances are the answer is yes, and I am trying not to give in to it. I cannot be as helpful to him if I am in severe pain. Boundary set. Actually, GAME,SET,MATCH!! Rest of the night was very smooth. Though he had trouble sleeping. His hand had frozen up in the evening. Then he had this feeling that he wasn't going to wake up. I told him that he had as much guarantee as any of us of waking up in the morning. To breathe deeply and relax. But I had to go to sleep. (Of course I slept restlessly, but I didn't get up when he did. I think he was giving himself anxiety attacks and I think that they are work related. I cannot do anything about that. He doesn't want to work overtime or credit hours to help himself-or get real help. HIS PROBLEM, not mine.) I am wearing my new outfit today. DH said he couldn't believe I was wearing it-brings out a little of the rebel in me. The one I didn't express growing up. Biker style boots, jeanings, long tunic top. I look good. Think I need to get gold or silver belt for tunic top-would look better than the matching belt that came with top. Jeanings and boots remind me of jodphers and riding boots used to wear when taking riding lessons when I was in Army. May want to start those again-expensive. Hmmmmmm.
