2010-11-15 6:20 AM VERDICT OK, I will live. Alot of people have this condition. I know that. A drug to help was removed from the market, then returned, then the manufacturer stopped making it-why I dont know. The condition-used to be called "spastic colon" now is referred to as "Irratible bowel syndrome" or IBS. Not going to need surgery.(hurray!!) Will need to change some of my life style-the pitts!! Have to drink 8 8ounce glasses of plain water a day. Cut carbonated water, cut out my herbal ice tea-which is how I was getting my fluid intake up. On an expensive fiber additive, and a probiotic pill. But that is why doc ordered the 'tranquilizers' he did-that is part of the normal treatment. Especially if diahrea is occuring. Mine goes both ways so is a little harder to treat. Severe pain is extremely common-so is the amount of work I have been missing. Now we try to resolve it. (The actually testing went ok, but the druggy feeling after wasn't something I enjoyed.) DH is not quited understanding some of the side effects.
Oh, cause is not always food-STRESS is major component. DH read that and immediately blamed himself and overreacted. What else is new. Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know that I am still alive and continuing the next step. I do think that the night time pill has been messing with my memory. DH will say that I tell him one answer to a question and I swear I say something else. I am over halfway done my sister's scarf. It is ok. Not the best type-the color works and I think that it will do. DH said he likes the idea of making Wednesdays before the craft meeting a 'date' then meeting back up and going home together. We will see how long it'll last. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
