I knew Monday that I wasn't going to be in yesterday. The start of a cold was hitting me. The scratchy throat has calmed down, and that all over achy feeling is just about gone. I asked for Tuesday off before 2 on Monday and it was approved.

I slept in late. No guilt feelings for calling off. The other secretary's desk was covered. Everyone knew. And I feel so much better today.

I have been knitting on DH's sweater and the pattern is getting easier to feel. Still not as fast as crocheting, but getting there. The cat loves to try to lie on the knitting and grab the working yarn. She doesn't do that with my crocheting.
