2005-04-27 10:28 PM I'm only happy when it rains… Words Written: AETW 618
A beautiful, overcast day today. One of the many lovely things about being back in Oxnard. Not great for Ed & Marian, though, who are going to the Getty and Santa Monica Pier today. Hopefully it's sunnier there. <><><> Do people not know what RSVP means, or are they just rude? <><><> Alas, no writing on the carpool in today. We had to talk about money for Kirk, who's doing all the driving, and that segued into other conversations, and by the time there was a lull, there wasn't much time left. Must be more actively antisocial this evening! <><><> I'm very up-and-down of late, my mood swinging through the emotional trees like Tarzan. I can go from excited that this week's deli special is the chicken salad/bacon/avocado sandwich and pleased by the Brian Froud background I just put on my work computer, to missing Sarah & Phaedra* and frustrated to the point of tears at not having enough time to write, in a span of minutes. <><><> It rained this afternoon, which was lovely. I’m such a weirdo. Too much sun and I get cranky. In other news, I wrote on the way home and did more than my minimum and I’m very pleased by that. Marian & Ed cooked for us again, a lemon/dill/almond chicken recipe I’d found, with rice and mixed steamed vegetables, and a lemon ice sorbet made with lemons from our very own tree. I still want to keep them… <><><> * Sarah's been really busy, so hasn't had time for e-mails or phone calls. I'm no longer home when Phae's on iChat, and her e-mails to me frequently disappear into the ether, so I never know whether she's gotten my e-mails or what, plus she's been too busy for phone calls. Sigh. ---- Currently Reading: Buried Deep, Kristine Kathryn Rusch Lately Listened To: Larry, various Recently Watched: “Veronica Mars” Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
