I'm Jim Farris filling in for Douglas while he struggles to make bail. Now lets turn to the fabled Silly Political Files. Late last week George Bush Senior (the Bush who actualy won an election back in the 80's) announced the winner of his 2003 George Bush Award For Excellence In Public Service. He gives this award, usually, to lockstep Republicans. But last week the word from College Station Texas (with almost NO press coverage) was this years honor would be bestowed on TEDDY KENNEDY. His son's most troubling critic was chosen by poppa Bush himself by the way. No panel, Just him. It has been rumored for more than a year that the Senior hates the Junior and thinks he's doing EVERYTHING WRONG but had made a deal to shut up in public. Now he has made a damning public statement of his son's reckless and costly policies. Where is he going to go with criticism if not in public? His wife thinks Junior is doing fine and likes the bloody trail to the White House. W. and Mommy are tight and always have been. I'll be watching on November 7th when Kennedy goes to Texas (There's phrase to send a chill down your back) and accepts the award for public service and PRINCIPLE. Kennedy was one of three democrats who spoke out against this crooked war and has since named names and places about the Kabal that is looking to smother our basic freedoms. Speaking of which... Donald Rumsfeld sat down for an EXCLUSIVE FAIR AND BALANCED hour interview at FOX news over the weekend. Unca Don said that when we were attacked on Sept 11th 2001 there were people who wrote that the USA should proceed with caution, that domestically we were going to be in trouble if we started messing with the constitutuion and the Bill OF Rights. Donny said that looked fine on paper BUT IN FACT WE WERE NO LONGER A FREE PEOPLE AND THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS. I'm not kidding he said that. OK... so a few weeks ago George McGovern's 1972 vice presidential candidate Sargent Shriver helped elect a Nazi sympathizing Republican movie star as the Governor of the 3rd largest economy on earth and the second largest state in America. Now W's father gives one of the last true democratic liberals (and his son's harshest critic) an award for public service and principle. While the Secretary of State matter-of-factly states that we are no longer a free people. If you are wondering why your fiction won't sell it's because nobody needs it right now. When "reality" reads like this it makes me wonder what life is like in the real reality? Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
