Silly Thinking*with Jim Farris* 2011450 Curiosities served |
2003-11-20 12:02 PM Thursday "off the top of my head Thursday" report Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Hi you. I'm Jim Farris.
Here are a couple of things from the news... Last week in France: Family and friends of shipworkers were killed while visiting the new Queen Mary 2, a luxury liner bieng constructed for the Cunard Lines (now owned by Carnival Cruise Lines). The Queen Mary 2 is the largest most elegant cruise ship ever built and will be finished in a few months. Friends and family of the ship builders were visiting the new liner when two gangplanks broke loose and crushed over 12 people. Is it just me or do the words "largest ship ever built" and "Cunard lines" put a chill down your back? Does anyone remember a little problem with thier last "world's largest ship" THE TITANIC? And now "Cunard" and "Carnival" are one. Combine the company that built the Titanic with Kathy Lee Gifford and food poisoning and your bound for trouble.Just a thought. Today's headline (make up your own joke): "BUSH SEEKS HELP AGAINST 'EVIL'" And finally this quote from Tammy Faye Messner (formerly Baker): "I think Jesus really loves crazy people. He made so many of us." Join us tommorow for "The Marlon Brando Show" (Marlon's guests will include Larry King and Ann Coulter!) and on the weekend for visits with two dead celebrities. Next week were here with "Celebrinet" and all the other great features that have driven readers away in droves. Silly Thinking the only weblogblogjournalzine you'll never read. And remember what Molly Ringwald says: "I never read it. What's it called again?" Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
