CC: Good morning and welcome to World News Review.
Colin Powell submitted his resignation today in Washington, joining “Johnny A” John Ashcroft and others who are leaving the President’s cabinet as he starts his second term.
Here is Bill Pullman, the man who played the president in the movie “Independence Day”, from Washington.



BP: Connie, good morning. It is well known that Colin Powell was ready going to leave his post. He had always said he served at the pleasure of the president.
Powell, it is said, wanted to stay through early spring, the President said no and wants him out, possibly in a week.


CC: Sounds contentious.



BP: Well, Connie, Powell did hustle his ass back to the State Department to get his version of events out before the White House could.


CC: Oh my.



BP: Who cares?


CC: Now onto Fallujah, the “Coalition” fighters have tentatively taken the city but fighting continues.

SS: Good morning Connie. Yes fighting continues and if this place has been taken, it’s news to the soldiers who are still fighting like they have for weeks. Little progress and more blood, Connie.


CC: Sounds like my house on the first of every month.
