Started a bit on The Dare writing this morning. Got about 256 words, most of which I don't like very much. Feels very recap-y. Summarizing the text itself, paraphrasing. Now I know why commentaries are always ten times longer than the things they're commenting on.

Don't quite have the voice, the flow, the style down yet. Trying to flesh out, without reading into the text. Want to explain without getting defensive. Think I'm bogged down in hypothetical objections; thoroughly prejudiced detractors won't listen in any case, so I may as well not quibble for worst-case scenarios. Dear trolls: scram!
