My boss, who hasn't been showing up to work for the last two weeks, is finally coming in and wants to have lunch with my co-worker and I. I anticipate he'll be "breaking" the news that our jobs are in danger and we should start looking for another job.

*hmph* "breaking" isn't really a word I'd use to describe it. More like.. obituary.

The naive part of my brain that wants to believe people do good things for each other wants to convince me that my boss has actually been looking for a job in all the time he hasn't been attending work, and is going to tell us that he found one and they want us too.

*sigh* Sometimes I'm dumb.
