Most people have heard that one of the Dixie Chicks made a derogatory comment about Bush because of the way he is handling the situation with Iraq. Apparently though, the South Carolina State Legislature passed a resolution "calling for the country music group to perform for South Carolina troops and their families" as a way of apologizing for their statement.

*blink*blink* Is it just me or should the Legislature of a State have SOMETHING better to do that to pass resolutions urging a country music band to hold a free concert to apolgize for an excersize of their freedom of speech?

I mean... what the fuck, people?
