2001-10-11 11:00 AM Why? Mood: "The Great Below" - Nine Inch Nails |
On Monday night, one of the engineering instructors smelled gas fumes quite strongly. It was determined that ALL of the gas nozzles in one of the chemistry classrooms were turned on. The gas lines to all the rooms have now been turned off. After discussion with the chemistry faculty, it was determined that none of the classes on Monday were using the gas and that no labs were even in that room on Monday afternoon. Which leaves us with the implication that someone got into the room and deliberately turned on all of the gas nozzles. The matter is being sent to campus security. That would have been one big explosion. Probably taking no fewer than 100 faculty and students in the building with it. Why? And even if it wasn't done with evil intent, that kind of stupidity deserves punishment, too. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
