I just looked down at my right palm and saw something that looked like "stigmata". Then I realized that it was melted chocolate. Makes much more sense that way.

Anyways, I have a student who I'll refer to as Drama Boy. He's in his mid-30s and has come back to college so that he can become a high school drama teacher. A good goal, I think. What I really admire is that he gets work: commercials, print ads, voice over, indie films, stage. He is really working hard to achieve success in his field. Drama Boy called me yesterday, very excited. He had just heard from his agent that he landed a role in a movie, one being produced by a major studio. Although a small role, it still requires a stunt double. Drama Boy has never had a stunt double. Yay for Drama Boy!

Some random notes:

1. I keep a set of colored pens for students to use during labs. I've been using them every semester for a few years. I've noted that, although these pens to not belong to them, some students will chew on the pens while working. Should I point this out? Don't they realize that other people have used the pens?

2. If you are going to use the miracle of the computer to print out multiple copies of the same labs for you and your friends to turn in, please remember to switch out your name for the others. It's bad enough to cheat, but do you have to be so incompetent at it?
