The divine miss m, at the ripe young age of 7 1/2 months, can walk while pushing a chair along in front of her. I am nonplussed. I am aghast.
A reminder to parents of babies new to solids: green peas are a legume... a painful gas-producing legume.
Little she-who-is seems to be working out fears. She's talking nonstop about Church Saint's big black dog, the police who "will come take you to jail if you break the law," fires and firefighters, and things that go bump in the night. This afternoon we got home after naptime so I told her to go quietly entertain herself in her room and I'd come get her when "rest time" was over. When I went back upstairs I found her sound asleep in our bed.

Confidential to KatieG re: the fears--remember the red light at the bottom of the stairs in our room growing up? C has a red-tinted nightlight in her room. Coincidence? I think not!
Also, this week at Church Saint's house she was playing with some finger puppets of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice. Out of nowhere she said, "These people are baaaaaaad!" I swear she was NOT coached.
