I sent all my personal info to them. Practically everything about me except my shoe size, including fax of my driver's license. I requested my own personal birth certificate, and it cost a pretty penny, too, by the time the extras were added to the advertised price. What I have received back (three times now) is an automated demand for documents (marriage certificate) proving my relationship to the person whose birth certificate I am requesting. Huh? I'm asking for my OWN birth certificate. They don't need proof of my marriage. Now today, they're requesting again a fax of my driver's license. The kicker? If it isn't processed within a certain time (I think two weeks) they get to keep the money and the whole request is cancelled. It's a fraud and a scam. Don't use them for vital records retrieval. My suggestion is to contact the city/county directly. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
